You don't need a screen, you might need a screen for the initial setup but after that you can setup your computer in such a way that the render application will start up automatically so you don't need to do anything expect turning on the render computer.
If you do need access to both of them you can switch the monitor between them, but of course this is a bit annoying, instead you can use a so called
KVM switch to change between computers quickly.
