DOF without using 'Lens Blur'
No sound will reduce file size considerably, plus ya don't really want to hear my dulcit tones anyway so best all round.
This video is done in the same way, slowly and deliberately. It'll give you the basics of applying a Z-Depth pass to your render, in fact 2 of them......I've done an 'Inverted' one too to show how to move the focus.
Hopefully after this you can experiment with different 'masks' for all sorts of varied effects, a common one is a simple 'gradient' applied as a mask to a blurred image....just remember to have the original showing underneath....
