Thank you for the comments. I applied more of a chamfer on all the studs using one main stud as reference then using the Substitute modifier on all the rest - and I think this gives more reflective light and specular highlights! Here is the completed modeling and texturing... I'm taking tomorrow, and the next few days off work to get a complete scene done for final submission... here are my most recent updates:
EDIT: The studs on the 2nd pic here are before i did the extra chamfer... just wanted to show the "Viper" logo on the ship a little better!
So the reason for the color change - I wanted red, gray, and black for the bad-guy ship... and didn't want any color of that to be on the good guy one. I tried blue gray and black and that looked decent.. but i think red looks awesom-er!

Plus the good guy ship has 2 colors, 1 neutral, bad guy ship has 2 neutrals, 1 color. and thats it - no more texturing, no more modeling LOL i've promised myself im going to move on from that! TIME IS A TICKIN'!!!!
