right i lost the first statement i was going to post, I would think that its your video card. but you don't have to change it. just remember that max is not a movie making program. you need to think like a director and an editor, what shots and how to edit them afterwards. movies are made up of CUT Scenes,

It can be a bit much when we in our innocence think we can make a movie within a modelling program, hahahah the modelling prog, can render elements that can be put together in post production and edited.

so basically render out clips of each part and put them together in different program. dont forget you have the option of a preview mode in max, I'm rusty and can't remember exactly where it is because I'm not back to using max until after the bank holiday weekend.
