I think your machine is more than capable of doing the job at hand, many years ago a lot of people started of with a lot less and pulled of a lot more. mind you, there was a lot of effort put into the making of what it was that they wanted to achieve. Believe me when I hear that people put in 5 years into making an animation that lasts less than 5 minutes i have to ask about their sanity.

But the five years is a small amount of investment in creating something that represents a life time achievement and gets recorded in the annals of history. A lot of people these days are finding out that the dream of point click and hey presto doesn't work, better to have a labour of love, a lot of sweat, swearing, headaches, knees and ass going numb from not moving and that urge to just do one more tweak to get it right even when we know we're being desperate and it'll go wrong, does not stop us or makes us want to give up.

We're all like liccle mad scientist working away at some mad creation hahahahahahahaha hmmmmmm there's an animation in there somewhere. Anyways more planning and less haste but its a catch 22, what do you plan unless you have experience of it, so you have to have a go. sit back work out what worked and didn't work, make notes and develop a plan. before you teach your pc to fly through closed windows.

funny enough a neighbour did once throw his pc through his window, everyone in the street stuck their heads out of the door and their windows to find out what had happened, when we all saw that it was a pc in the street and a gaping hole in where his window was, we all went back in and more or less said to ourselves ah well. we all actually could sympathise. it stayed on the street all morning then he went out and picked it back up, i think it still works lol
