landscape mattepainting

here is my attempt at the mattepainting its not great but a good first attempt i think,

Hmm somehow this looks familiar , you did quite a good job, it's from a tutorial at 3dm3.com right? I don't have any experience with matte painting but have some advice - try to spend some more time on blending things properly, right now some objects are blurred at the edges and don't match very well. Maybe you would need to do some manual painting in that case, also think about lighting and shadows.

Yeh I saw the tutorial on here its amazing, obviously mine is no where near as good but i have talked to the original artist and they have helped a bit. It was really to get my photoshop skills up and I think anyone could do it if they tried its not too hard to get what I got
