thanks geldslaw for the very good insight, I really never thought about her lips but now that you told me I will have to fix it. I normally don't cling for winning the challenge as long as I enjoy the process of making it but yeah you have a point there. Ok here's a bit of an update, let me know if you have idea what I can put in the background as I am still scratching my head for ideas. now I am choosing whether to put have or not have a tail. Cheers! Rodny ![]() with tail ![]()

I was in the library the other day and looking through illustrator and graphic designer books, and the advice was the same to both groups of visual artist, research; have a library of stock images that you're constantly updating. One of my colleagues is always constantly downloading gigs of photographic images and then burning them to dvd. Having your own stock of images in your own library can only build your confidence, I would suggest subscribing to the ImageFX magazine and if you're not already a member of ConceptArt.org Version 3.0 with your own sketchbook then I would suggest joining because the worlds beat and greatest digital artists are on that site and give amazing artistic feedback that will help you grow beyond your dreams. As for a background, you should only scratch your head if you're spoilt for choice, what amazes me is how visualization artists can see objects that give rise to inspiration to create objects and environments that most people don't imagine. It kinda reminds me of a child sitting in a cardbox but the difference is the cardbox is a ship/space ship/car or airplane. So I'm not even going to go there and make a suggestion to you as to what to put in the background other than to say do some research till something pops out and smacks you in the face, until then the work you're doing is no good to anyone and will have no real value to you either. As for a tail, you've got a pitchfork, you've got the horns kinda a part of the dress set and earings,I think its good to as people what they think but don't ask for advice on the composition, you'll end up being a revolving door. My opinion was only my opinion, wasn't necessarily gospel, who'se to say I am right? All am saying is dig deep, no point being mechanical with your art and all I am saying is that as artist all of us are striving to create a piece that draws people to it. It's the search for the Holy Grail so to speak, and to me its what makes all the years of training worthwhile ![]()

It's true, your point. Even before hand I painted this piece I know what I am going to do, sometimes opinion matters but at the end of the day what I envision is still the last call. I do have resources of images that's basic for every artist. The right hand with pitchfork was actually my hand and I just altered to girls hand. This piece is 1 of 2 illustration I am planning to do, the other is "The saint" basically a contrasting pin-up girl from this girl here.

I hear what you're saying, having people share your thoughts stops you from going mad and gives you a touch of reality and a sense of balance. I do admire your work, and I think everything about the girls body is brilliant, just that I could't read her face and that's where we get 70% of our non verbal communication. Take her eyes for example, what are they saying? People speak with their eyebrows and eyelids, size of pupils and position of the eyes, if she is a temptress what is there in her eyes alone that tells you she wants to submit to your whims. I've tried but can't read her face, I can't read from her eyes that she wants me. ![]() here are a few I found on the web they all say more because they use the eyebrows, eyelids, iris and position of the eyes to say what they mean

| Thanks guys! Here's my current update. Finally I decided without a tail. I did change the hairdo to fit into 50's look. Pretty much it just add a bg and I am done, I might put her on bed with railings of same style with the pitchfork, damask wall paper and an overlit window and then I am done. Cheers!
