| thats to do with the bleeding or global illumination, I have a similiar problem with the materials I ma using for my tyres for my batmobile, even though I sink the wheels below ground, the tyres look as if they're floating. At a gues, change gi, or materials, let me know how you get on? |

| hmm yeah there aren't enough dark shadows around the base of the stone, so increasing the quality of your lighting (for instance, if you use mental ray, increase the final gather preset to medium or high) should help a bit at least. If nothing works, just render your image, go into photoshop, and 'burn' some of the edges near the stone. |
