Well you have to go the then Render menu.. so:

Rendering > Render...

Then scroll down until you see this:

Then go on Assign Renderer and change there renderer to VRay 1.5 RC3 (Thats my VRay)

Thanks for the reply BiOjOe.

Well I still couldn't find the vray in the list. I even tried to uninstall and install back and it still doesn't appear in the choose renderer list. Do I have to do some setting before I start a project? I usually do with mental ray and just want to have a try on vray.

Are you sure it's installed on the right spot, and are you sure it's compatible with your version of max? I assume you need to place part of vray at least inside your 3ds max plugins directory...

During the installation it goes to 3 separate folder, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3dsMax8\, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3dsMax8\plugins and lastly C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\3dsmax R8 for x86. Well in the instruction it says work with ver 8 and 9. I think I'll give one more shot and if it doesn't work, I stick to mental ray instead. Anyway thanks Jelmer, I I'll give another tray.

I have Max 9 and during the instillation it should ask you for your Max folder directory.

If the problem presists i would contact Chaos Group
