| Thank you very much MrTom. I really appreciate what you wrote there. Covers almost every aspects and functions. It will take me some time to get used to it. But I still dont get one thing, whenever I render using VRay, whatever the material / colour I assign to the floor plate, it affects the vertical plane of the object. Pic A. The teapot looks a bit purplish. (VRay) Pic B. The teapot is normal (but I used default scanline renderer; 1 direct light and 1 omni) I still cant tell much difference between the two renderer, except that VRay has more settings to play with. But the output seems the same to me though. I've attached another picture, it's an interior job I worked on a year ago. I used default scanline renderer. My concern is, is VRay besides the wonderful features and settings, really can do better or even something which the default scanlines can't. thank yo uvery much once again MrTom. Really appreciate your time and effort. ![]() |

| Re: Need tips on rendering Dear MrTom, I am very grateful for what u've done. I've saved your tutorial and will play with the settings this coming weekend when I have more time. I will have to do a simple scene and test render with all different combinations of settings. And thank you again for the writing. ![]() |
