help on rendering

Hya,

I'm really having trouble making nice renders!
I model my stuff, apply texture, but then I'm not sure what to do, and I can't find any tutorials on that.

So anyone know where I could find a tutorial on how to make a good picture of your models?
Or anyone care explaining?

Thanks,
Boebi

Depends on what you are trying to light and what kind of lighting you are trying to achieve. Show us a render of what you have already and gives us a little more info about your scene so we can help you out a little more.

Yeah maybe post up one of your current projects in the WIP Section and everyone will be able to give you some good comments and feedback on it

ho!
Current projects, slow down!

I just started modeling :P

Yea, I bought this dvd wich is guiding me to build the Matrix APU, but I haven't even finished the toe yet :P

But what I'd want to make screenshots of are small objects, like a lightsaber (yea I did your tutorial :P), or a Maglite (still working on it, something is making it look like crap)

I'll post my Maglite in the WIP section. It's my first model without any getting any help from tutorials or anything, so don't expect much from it.

as mentioned by the others, the process you are going through is what we all go through each time. post your work in progress up and take screen captures of your settings so that we can give you the best advice possible.

there's no magi c button as each project you do is unique, but good to still see you moving on and not giving up
