moving edges

hi ppl
another small problem .. but it annoys the hell out of me

let's say i make a triangle and extrude it, then i connect 2 edges
now, i want to move this edge downwards while still keeping the triangle shape (i hope every1 who reads this actually understands what i'm saying)

soo ... is there any special tool/trick for that or do i have to adjust it "by feeling" ???

Hey could you maybe put it a bit clearer what you're trying to achieve?

I get most of what you said but I'm just not sure what the result that you're trying to achieve is.....

This "special" tool is called edge constraint ;-)

All i did was press PrtSc key to take a snapshot of my screen and pasted it into paint, saved as a .jpg and uploaded as an attatchment
