Tiling problem....can someone assist the newbie?? Hi all, Noob here! I'm working on a little project at the moment and having some problems getting a grass material to tile properly. I've used UV mapping alot in the past, but this is a new problem for me - I'm hoping that there is some simple solution that I'm just overlooking! I keep getting these thick lines in my render, like it's not tiling properly, but I'm not doing anything differently....anybody know what might be causing this, or how to solve it? I tried adding noise to the diffuse map but then the grass loses all detail. I'm using 3ds Max 2009 Design, MR renderer. Pic attached. Thanks in advance guys! Paul

You're right, it does look like a bump map, but I've double checked and there's nothing on there. I can get around the problem this time by cloning it out in Photoshop, but I'd love to fix it so I can use it in the future....

Hmm... the watermarked version is not really looking seamless. Perhaps try this one Free Textures, Tileable Textures - OneOddDude.net with your setup and tell us if you still got this nasty look
