Max Biped help

Ok first I couldn't get a piece boned for my robot but I got that fixed. But now the bones show in the render because they stick out of the mesh How do you turn them off in the render? Or if its easier I recall reading about since anything can be a bone theres a way to change the bones mesh to my object mesh anyone know how to do either? Will post in WIP when I get this fixed.

try selecting all the bones, (use 'h' to get the selection list) and then right click>properties, then turn off renderable, cast shadows and anything else that affects the render result.

I hide the bones by pressing H, selecting the bones, right click in any viewport and choose "hide selection". As for converting bones or biped to mesh, select the bone, right click, convert to, editable mesh or poly. I think you have to be careful about messing with a biped after you've initialized it.
