The images are 100% public domain as specified in the source thread, so I'm *pretty* sure it wouldn't be an issue. If it makes you nervous Jelmer I won't do it though :P Although there may be an issue, the torrent speed dropped overnight and its hovering around 30kbs =( If it stays there, it'll be awhile before I can do it anyway. My guess is it'll just jump around randomly, so it could be done tomorrow or it could take a few days. Keep in mind this *probably* won't get higher speeds on your end than the current torrent, it'll just be alot less to download as far as volume. I can provide up to 600kb/s sustained upload from my comp, but I'm pretty sure the University would come knocking on my door if I did that... I usually cap azureus at 60kbs up to be safe. If it can be utilized I'm willing to seed at ~150kbs at night and ~75 during the day. ANYWAY, we'll see. Last edited by veyron; 24th January 2007 at 08:33 PM.

Here's some grunge maps... They were uploaded by the maker, description: "Okay trough time I've made quite some photographs myself known as grunge maps. 4 What are they? Grunge maps are pictures of things like rough surfaces, rocks, rust, walls etc etc which you can place over your image, and then select overlay to give your image a certain texture/color addition from the dirt file. For example when your grunge map is one of solid concrete with one large crack in it, your picture will have a crack added. An example can be found here: http://www.stfoto.nl/upload/files/vic_med.jpg http://www.stfoto.nl/upload/files/house_spa2.jpg Enjoy this very fine collection I made myself "Download the attached rar file to your desktop, extract the .torrent, and open it with your preferred client. It seems to be well seeded.

Haha yep thats me! Much appreciated sir I found a free program that can do batch image conversion, check it out here. You should be able to convert all the images to JPEG using that program, I'd go ahead and use 100% quality setting. The test I did said the size would go down between 40 and 60% for the whole bunch.

Umm, I straight up have no clue as to your first question. If you really wanted to speed up uploading for a particular torrent, you'd have to a) stop all other torrents you're seeding (you can resume them later) b) put upload caps of ~0-1kb/s on any torrents you're downloading. That gives ~100% of your upload bandwidth to seeding that file.
