Angry arch viz tutorial result

after 11h36m14s of rendering, this came out...I don't know what happened but I need to know what's wrong with it. why are those lightspots there, where the top wall and window wall intersect, and wherever they may also be, and what are they ?

PS: i messed up with the background :P

thats light beeding through, the sample are is to large or you should use ashell modifier. You not using mental ray, and daylight system. if you did the 3ds max tutorial, you could have rendered that room in daraft in less than 6 mins I guess.

by the way, niec modelling and texturing. vould you take some screen shots of the render settings for fi & Gi

I think the rendering took way too long...

Personally, I would have just used VRay to compute the GI maps, and used them here, rather than watch paint dry for 11 hours. =P

But it's a nice result

,, but u have to buy V-ray,,

DeathWarden: u can drop the render time when u change the UV samples in the area light settings to 10,, it should be enough for this scene

lol, with the right settings this would have been much faster though! you should really add diffuse bounces! With the new final gather in max9 (mental ray 3.2) this has a very large influence on the final render, try setting it to 2 or 3, and turn of GI to save render time, then set quality to low or draft and see how it turns out!

hey i rendered out some others... the first one is kinda strange because of the bg and it's renderet at very low settings and the second is higher but the shitty dots appear again and the bg is a bit low res ....
