Re: This Is My House!

one question are you modelling to scale? Something about the images tell me that you are not. you want to model to scale so look at the units of measurement you're using otherwise you'll put a lot of effort in and end up with your work looking like a dolls house and you don't want that.

in answer to the question 'if i'm doing right?' well, as many would tell you, as long as you have a plan, and you've organised what you want to do on paper before jumping in with the mouse, you won't go wrong.

remember 'people never plan to fail, people just fail to plan' so as long as you have it all planned out and makes notes you'll be ok I would suggest, you model one room at a time that way you can take the lessons learnt from doing that room and apply them to the others afterwards.

so far nice work, just check the units of measurement and make sure you're working to scale?

heh,, its not about your 2D draw here more or less ,, its about to take the plans of the house or a meter and meassure it,heh,, to make there realism u have to:

1. model it right in meters units
2. do the right lightning
3. do the right materials and render setup

take a paper a draw only a simple the shape of your house with metric units cca. , then u can start model it right
