logo in progress

I'm just like everyone else ... looking for a project. Today I came across an ad for a logo design, pulled it off the board and started working on it a couple of hours ago. I wanted to make shoes and knew I'd read something about them here, only to discover that someone had a secret tutorial (I still think the tutorial looks an awful lot like the one posted on 3d cafe before they locked the door).

Not one to be discouraged, I searched the net and came across a shoe tutorial in Rhino; which is great for nurbs and easy to import into max. Long story short, the shoes are modified rhino nurbs ... and this is the beginning of the logo. Keep in mind that this has to be shrunk into something like 150 x 150. Feedback always appreciated.

As for adding attachments ... let me see if I can figure that out.

I thought it was an animation and was disappointed to find out that it wasn't, but showed your image to some one that rollerskates to college adn we both noticed that only froma design point of view, there are no 'axels for the wheels, but this should be easy for you to fix.

it looks pretty nice, but to be honest, if you're making it into an 150x150 logo it should be much more simple.. Most of the details will be gone once you shrink it that far down but for a more realistic render stilll they could be great.

that is really great, but if that has to be 150x150,i'd make it into some vector art, no special details that will confuse the eye

Thanks for the feedback. I guess you're all right and it should be much simpler. The logo will be used online as well as print. I think I'll put it in photoshop and see how filters can be used to simplify the image. Otherwise, it's back to the drawing board.

Textures

I think the models alright but the leg materials are a bit too shiny and there isn't any texture on the tight
