Give me some tips

This is the first car i have worked on without the help of tutorials. Please give me some tips. Does it have potential? Could it ever be as good as onno van braam "audi tt explosion" model?



This is what i have so far. Is it lookin good?

i think its looking rather good. it does have a couple of mild car-crash bumps on the sides but it still looks good.

it's quite a good start, there are a few problems around the seam though, fix those first, for example at the rear window. The design of the car is ok, i like the sharper edge near the rear, the rest of the car is a bit too smooth and undefined, are you using any refs?

i am not using any refs yet, except for the blueprints.
What is the best way to get the bumps smoothed out?

i worked on it a bit more. fixed up the seam as much as i could, and tried to get the dents out. Man was it hard. Heres what i got.

i think with a wire render we will see more in to the model and could more help,, i mean Jelmer can then more help,, heh ,, anyway i like it to this time,, and i think it would be no problem to finish it

when u say wire render do u mean wireframe. wouldn't that be a little hard to see

i mean more a clay-render in mental ray,, u use "composite" material in which would be the "base material" white color and in the first mat slot would be a black wire material,, and u rednder this in mental ray with one "skylight" in the scene,, in the renderer/indirect ilumination u check the "final gather" and hit render
