Me as an anime character

me as an tradional schoolboy anime character.

kept the base model simple so that all I would have to do is change the skin colour and the hair. That way I get to build a complete cast for a group animation I want to do. a challenge I know but why not. lol

As can be seen below with the others I have made and changed

yep thats what you do but make the thread in the sketchbook section.

here are two more members of the manga/anime society, as you can see I've only had to change the hair and skin colour then add some accessories like glasses to change the character.

I also used the basic blin shader with a gradient map to make the colour of their blouses more interesting.

Nice work here! I like how the characters look simple but detailed enough to make you want to look and "study" their features! Also I like the style - you can tell it all came from one individual. I guess what i mean by that is if you were to tell someone else to make an anime character it would look unique...well I guess that's what style is. lol

I could totally see a book or animated cartoon series (children's age of course unless you go the South Park route and add mounds of profanity and controverisal subject lines/plots) using these characters. When I was looking at it, i kept thinking "Scale one of the characters limbs so you have "the fat kid" of the group" lol but that could be an idea maybe? You have an endless avenue of approach here and you're only limited by your imagination! (sounds pretty inspirational, huh? lol) Cliche - But it's true. Id like to see a short clip of these characters animated and interacting!

they all have that same expression on their face - "AHH WOW!" lol awesome =) another thought - Use your fire particle animation thing on one of the characters with that expression on it's face LOL!!! devious! alright alright, enough outta me.
