My Second Head

This is the second head I have modeled, I would welcome any criticisms or advice.

great images, and really good work, what wa the reference you were working from? At a quick glance the mouth and ears need a small amount of work work and I think the head could do with some more body, width to it.

All in all really good.

Really nice start. I agree with geldslaw. More width for the head, especially I think in the lower jaw from by the ears, all the way down along the jaw bone. Keep it up

besides the comments mentioned earlier, i think the eyes (eyelids) look a bit unnatural, try to define them a bit more, by chamfering and adjusting the mesh for example.

Thanks lads, much appreciated. But I don't know if it is obvious but it is suppose to be a girl, and I am afraid if I widen the head and lengthen the jaw it will start to look more masculine no? I know the head looks too narrow but maybe if I just brought up the jaw and added more height to the upper lip it would help?

As for reference, this was actually my first head, just the second version of it, I first used pictures I took myself of my girlfriends head but then I realised I am not good photographer so I signed up to 3d.sk and used a reference from there to do the head. And geldslaw what about ears and mouth would you fix?

Jelmer I agree the eyes are definitely off, but there is lots of edge loops around the eyes so I would be a bit worried about adding more with chamfering, if thats what you meant. And what adjustments to the mesh would you make? You see alot of the stuff like the ears, mouth, nose and eyes I had to wing and so I spent many hours looking at the mesh and trying to figure out what to do with it and spent many hours ditching the last version and starting again. So any suggestions on mesh form, where to cut, and how to add detail without messing up the mesh would be very helpful.

again, the width of the face looks strange, try adjusting it too see if it looks wrong. thats the only real way of finding out if it is going to be.

also, under the chin seems to be quite rough, i'm not sure if you tried to achieve that, but i don't think its suppose to be there.
