Arrow Voting time

It's a little late, but all these great entries deserve to be voted on, I'm sure you agree with that! Sorry for the delay, I've been a bit busy with switching hosts and school work, so let's get this over with and share your votes. Remember, the winner will get a copy of Half Life 2, best game ever?
How to vote
Choose the 3 best works from the ones below, try to be as objective as possible and take a good look at all of them, also add some comments and critique or reasons for voting for those works.

man this is seriously tough to choose, they're all equal 1st place entries, excellent work, its obvious some entrants are more skilled than others but looking at WIP the effort made by each member has been enormous and all deserve a great round of applause. well done everyone

3. Picken

Koiranos: Render could have been better, but the model is great and I admire the fact that you made a lot of the pieces yourself.
Kronick: You used LeoCAD for most of the pieces, but the model is great and the lego piece count must be huge.
Picken: Not a very big model, but the pieces are great, with a lot of detail. Excellent modeling!

Kronick - I love this composotion, pirate ship in the bath is absolite genious, materials on the lower half of the boat dont look as real as the rest of the piece, but the sheer characterisation and life within the final compasition is amazing

DarthSjakk - what can I say, beautiful work, nicely composed, looks like it should be in the lego star wars game! very nice compesition

Picken - bionicle was a comletely different concept to the rest of the competitors, hence you get my third vote, i can see the amount f work you put into this piece nice work m8ey

well done to everyone! my decision was VERY tough! congrats to all

1. Darth Sjaak- Lighting, materials , environment, detail nailed it all.
2. Picken- Also, nailed it all except the lack of an environment.
3. Koiranos- Needs too be lit up a little more, other than that great work.

This was a tough one to choose. Congratulations to everybody, at least we all have something more to add to our portfolios =).........

Incredibly hard to choose but I decided on this;

1) DarthSjaak (Great modeling, lighting, materials and environment!)
2) Picken (Despite its lack of a proper environment, everything else is perfect!)
3) Fisher (Excellent everything, although the environment looks a little plain to me)

But well done everyone, great entry's!

1- Darthsjaack - The scene rox and the camera setup is pretty cool.
Moreover I like the background composed by all these layers. Kinda falloff for the shaders I love that

2- Fisher - I followed happily da thread, and u've been through cool render. Composition is very dynamic too (thanks to the blasts)

3- koiranos - The shaders and lighting are so great, because I do admire smooth lighting like ur.

Good luck everyone, se ya later when we will kick the ass of the winner on a HL lan party

WooT!

Now, for the most difficult part of the competition - the voting process! I love all these entries, got some really great work up here... I keep going back and forth, looking at all the pictures, looking at the WIP sections, and back to the pics. Here's my vote:

1. Kronick: I think this piece is the quintessential "Lego" submission. It's fun, it's funny, and it brings back memories! Not to mention the excellent modeling, materials, texturing, and lighting really sell it. Awesome job!

2. DarthSjaak: This piece screams "Lego!"...and "Star Wars!" Haha! The reason I chose this one is because the lighting and the environment are superb. The picture is very soothing to they eye - very easy to look at. Plus the texture mapping of the storm trooper is great. lol I think I've seen your work before.....

3. Koiranos: I really love the modeling you've done here - all the different pieces and geometries make for an interesting piece . The lighting is great, too - really soft. I'd have liked to have seen more with the environment than a static ship, though.
