Doing this now up to part 3. It is a good tutorial except for when you breath into the mic scared the hell out of me had the bass up all the way and had to have the speakers up a fair bit because its so quiet lol so loud..

Cant wait to finish this .

Oh forgot to mention it would of been an idea to add in chip taken from the stairs like this.

I have never done this before and i was just trying to do it.

Looking at that makes me realize my stairs are so messed up rofl. Better fix them.

that looks pretty nice, more detailed than my model at least, if you could make it a bit cleaner it would be great. btw, please post your own WIP in a new thread on the forums

Sorry its not a wip was just showing, I did that quickly just so i could show its alot cleaner when smoothing is added.

Noticed another thing when doing the door for the tower. Where you selected the edged then shit+drag then welded, If you just select the two edges you want joined you can then use Bridge which gives the same affects but quicker and you can do them all at once.

Hey, nice tutorial!

Here a newbie question:
I was just wondering about the xyz arrows you have, so you can just manipulate objects in any of the 3 directions, how do you turn that on or what plugin is it?

great job with the tut jelmer, it has helped me a tonne. This is the first attempt at modelling anything, ive mostly just done animations and i thought this was a great place to start learning how to model.

Im having fun with it, it looks okay too me, theres a weird crease in the side of the right wall, no clue how that got there, have to fix that up, and move the wall across into the tower a bit.

cheers

Always wanted a castle. But now I'm caught up watching the shield tutorial, then making a shield. Then I have to redo the sword tutorial again. Can't have a castle without a coat of arms, now, can I?

Excellent tutorial. Downloading now.
