sounds like a great course to do. If you do decide to do it, it'll be really interesting and open a load more windows for you in other careers good luck

Yo, i got a problem again .

At the end of the 4th part ( texturing the tower ) just before photoshop, i apply the uvw map on the tower and make it fine. Then i apply the texture ( same as the first wall ) on the tower and one side of it, the texture is flipped... I mean, the bricks wich are supposed to be horizontal are now vertical... i don't catch why its doing that so if neone have a hint i would appreciate .
If you need a screenshot or the scene just ask.

Thx

try rotating the uvmap (by rotating the UV gizmo, or by rotating it with the unwrapUVW modifier)

Rotating the uvmap with gizmo didnt work cuz it was rotating the whole tower so the bugged side was going to another wall. i couldnt really use unwrapUVW because i kinda never used it so i don't really know how it works.

But i found a way ( maybe longer but it worked ) I used detach on the wall that was flipped and then ive done a UVWMapper on that wall and it worked fine .

Thx for the help tho

Very nice tutorial
i've been working with it,, but now i'm stuck with a problem

my main house, when i try to uv map it,, when i apply the checker map, then it screws up totally. at one part it's nice and square, and some parts are just stretched..

what did i do wrong ? cause when i use unwrap uvw map, it doesn't work and rotating doesn't work either

hmm i'm not sure what you mean but it should work fine with the uvmap modifier, you can create your own thread in the WIP forum and post images there if you can't figure it out.

When you want to rotate then map click the [+] button next to uvw map and click gizmo then rotate, i think thats how u do it, off the top of my head...
