Terrain, grass,

In this tutorial we'll use 3ds max to model a simple environment and then use vertext paint to create an area which we'll fill with grass using the hair and fur modifier (new in 3ds max 8).
Then we'll use some procedural shaders to give the grass a more random and realistic look, we will also make some shaders for the path and finally get our final render into photoshop to add some fog to give a feeling of depth.

size:18mb length:23:45 min format: WMV, 640x480

This tut is very good I was looking for a way to make good grass. Found a tut on a different site but the grass looked like it was mowed put though a blender and relayed down on the ground in lumps lol.

Re: Terrain, grass,

Excellent tutorial just what I needed but unfortunately the video quality was really pixelated but still I was able to piece together what you did and now it's time to put that to the cart model. Vray fur went well into the hour never to render even a blade so I hope this will do it.
