| Creating HOLES PART 2A Part 2A Creating the object. A Sink. Here I'll use a real example to show how to 'cut' holes within your mesh. To create the sink I'll use a 'spline' and 'Lathe' to form the basic shape..... ![]() Ensure the two verts on the right are placed at 0 (Zero) along the X-Axis and also move the 'Pivot Point' to 0 (Zero) along the X-Axis as well. This will make for an easy time when we apply the 'Lathe' Modifier. ![]() With the 'Lathe' modifier applied (And 'Weld Core' selected), we get something like this. I've applied a material to the object as well. ![]() Using the 'Scale' tool I have adjusted the shape of the object to give a more 'Sink' like appearance. ![]() ![]() With a more appropriate material applied and with 'Smoothing' at 2 iterations when rendered we get this..... ![]() Thats about it for the basic shape....now to cut some 'Holes'.......in Part 2B.
