Pottery: model, uv, texture, render

This time we'll model , UVW map and texture pottery, to make the scene final we're also making a dry/ desert like surface using displacement to add some cracks.
First we model the pottery using a spline and a simple modifier, then we UVW map it and afterwards meshsmooth the model, we export the UV's into photoshop and start making the textures (which are free from Mayang's Free Texture Library , a great resource for free textures!) Finally we set up a render for a fairly realistic end result. We also create shaders/materials using the textures to create specular and bump maps.

size: 15,6mb length: 20min format: WMV, 640x480

I have to tell you that this tutorial was the first one that I gave a try and just loved how easy it was to follow, hats off to you friend!

This is what I came up with, I have a weakness for shadow play!

Very nice tut, just fooled around a bit with it and came up with a rather bulgy pot

Nice work, the shaders turned out quite good with the bump mapping and such, you could built a scene around it to finish it off, also, feel free to post this in 3d work in progress if you're looking for more comments, glad you like the tutorial!
