haha.

What sort of tips can you offer, if any, to help me increase realism, also how do I work the camera to get the whole shot into the framework.

I really have to tell you how greatly I appreciate this web site and all the help it offers.

Would anyone like to see what I came up after I did the tut?

By the way what's all this HDRI stuff.

Hi, iam glad that u liked)

To the camera: its hard to tell how to place the camera, u should everytime try to find a dramatic angel and hide everything bad maybe try to look on your room, and try to fit the came angel with your eyes)

realism u can increase with photoshop, so here only try to play with filters, brightnes, contrast, colors blur and so)

sure man, post your work in the forums)

HDRI in max u use for the global reflection of parts which have high reflection like metal, cause when u try to render just a simple scene like a table and knife, the blade will reflect the table but also the enviroment, so when u have grey enviroment it reflect it, with HDRI map u can do realistic reflection, cause the blade will reflect the HDRI map
