Hello everyone,

My first post here. Amazing video tutos dudes, really.
I went through the whole tuto without a problem but when rendering,
it's getting weird.
Things like: table legs distorted, light reflection distorted,...

I first thought it was a bad lighting parameter
but after playing a while with it, nothing better. I even deleted all the
lights in the scene, still in vain. I tried all the options i could think of
in the rendering window too....

I know you'd prefer me to post images but the thing is that it takes
hours to render and I dont wanna lose time on this unless you really need to see this.

Any idea on what I could try?

Thanks for your time

Kevin

Hey K.O., welcome to the community! I would like to help.. but without images it's difficult, I'm not sure what you mean by 'distorted reflections' and a 'distorted table leg', so either you'll need to explain it a bit further or render (low quality, saves time). Posting images of your light and render settings will help too.

Hey, thanks for the fast answer. Great forum by the way, i'm happy I've found such a place to ask questions and see others' works...

As 4 my problem, forget it, that's just because I didn't wait until the end of the rendering process. I saw those weird things and thought i made mistakes but as usually, patience can make miracles

At last, I just wanted to tell you that your video tuts are some of the best around the net and I mean it.

Ok, thanx again and i'll post my work in the appropriate section very soon.

C ya all

Kevin

I've tried to follow the tutorial, and the result was pretty good. Had some problems understanding what the tutor (sp?) said, 'cause of some mumbling, but mainly because I suck in English

Really good looking tutorial. I haven't read the whole thread but is this using Mental Ray or Vray? I don't own vray so i'm hoping it's mental ray.

Also, any plans for doing an outdoor type setup with mental ray?

Thanks.
