Very Simple

Hi every body,

This is a very simple scene without any plug-in. I use only scan line renderer with one lens effect. I have this ball pen since I was 20 years old (I am 55 now). I am trying to settle somewhere so I can show something better.

Interesting story, and nice render too! it is indeed a simple scene, but in a good way. The pen material looks good, the wooden surface could use a subtle bump map, to distort the reflections a bit, which would increase realism in my opinion. It's nice to see that even with default scanline you can achieve great results.

Nice render. Material is nice as well. Maybe add some paper? Add some little and simple things, it always makes scene more realistic.

huh,, nice age ,, it looks pretty good for default renderer ,,but u should try to use mental ray to add realism to it, or change the lighting in the scene,, ,, hope u enjoy it here

Very good, and also very interesting.........I wonder if the image will last 35 years? In 35 years time we may be picking up your pen and saying 'wow, looks really good but the weight is a bit off and it doesn't quite smell right.........and what exactly is a pen?'

Who knows what the future may bring?

Keep up the excellent work.

Regards.
