Vector Guitar

Did this one at school... the aim was to make a vectorized rendition of an object, and as realistically as possible... took me 2 days. Left one is a photo so it'd be possible to judge it properly.
I did not use the Trace tool, the guitar consists of probably up to a hundred colored "pieces"... three or four of them have Gaussian Blur assigned to them.

Re: Vector Guitar

Nice work, although some perspective might have been more challenging, the colour you added are very real, of course you're a bit limited by the vectors, since they're almost always 'hard' and don't blend very well, I do think it's great to practice, but eventually you can make it more detailed and realistic with a little bit of painting in photoshop for example, especially the specular reflections at the top.. Great work though, I've never done a lot with vectors but do know this was a lot of work to make, impressive.

I agree with jelmer, very nice work, I'm extremely inmpressed with the shadows inside the guitar body itself, your work shows great potential, no doubt will be seeing you in some magazine at some point hehehehe keep up the good work

Re: Vector Guitar

Jelmer: Thanks. Indeed, a perspective view would be a lot better, but I couldnt find any suitable photos, with the angle I was searching for... something like this: http://www.rowlhouse.co.uk/cello/cello_upright.jpg

Geldslaw: Hehe, dunno about the magazines but I sure liked the process of making this guitar.

Re: Vector Guitar

Well if I'd done that, and in 2 days too, I'd be well pleased!

Excellent work Motammad.

Regards.
