for a second project in maya... this is pretty good...
I dont use maya so i have no clue what "Gravity problem with wires" really means...???

Good luck

tips- i dont know for shure but i think you can uv map in maya or tile the maps to Fake the resolution... it looks better.. for example try it on the pipe.. NO ONE WILL NOTICE...

Hey,
I just marked things in your rendering that came to my mind (so don´t mind if i named things you already knew). I think you will have to put both pictures aside each other to see what I mean with the marked spots ;-)
Hope everything is understandable please give feedback on it

I will improve those in My next maya work,

But i didnt understand about
"Splines" u mentioned I think there is no Splines in Maya I created those using curves Extruding.

I Think Texturing is the problem for me,But there are less tutorials on texturing i think.

i think you did a good job, just imagine that in in a few months you'll be a lot better, there's a great deal of potential and promise in your work. Some good points on improving were shown to you, try to use reference images, do a bit of research so you have strong guide line, but keep up the good work

Stephael has quite a few good points there! Personally I would try to add some depth of field to improve the render. You can do this easily using photoshop and a zdepth map (I'm pretty sure maya supports this as well). Search this site in the tutorials forum you'll find a tut that will show you how to do just that with max but it should be similar in maya.

Before you consider this work finished I would try to do a little more work on it even though it's difficult because you've obviously done a lot already (and it shows too ), but definitely change easy things like the sky and wires a bit.

Youve got a nice solid start there so well done As other poeple have said fix the minor imperfections improve the texture and lighting and youve got a great piece. And a bit of DoF would really finish it off
