Talking VFX Tests

Wow - I have not posted here in a long time.

Here are 5 short VFX tests which I did during the last couple months. They were all done in Blender. Some of them also use stop-motion.

- Physics Simulation and greenscreening (Stop-motion)
- CG integration into a real set.
- CG integration and set extension.
- Water composite. (Stop-motion)
- Camera tracking and CG integration.

Any comments, tips, or critique would be welcomed.

-Leonardo

Impressive work; I've been meaning to play around with compositing for awhile now. What combination of software did you use?

One criticism: In your last vid, the 2nd window's reflection is inaccurate. I understand the concept behind what you did and why it looks that way (and to be honest I didn't notice the first time around), but a) they're different colors and b) the reflection should be a continuation of the reflection in the first window, not a duplicate thereof. No idea how you'd do that though

For these tests, I used a combination of Blender (Most CG and compositing work), GIMP (Image editing/color correction), and Voodoo (Camera Tracking).

I understand your complaint about the last test. I purposefully colored the window differently. Also, the reflection does not move at all like it does in the real window. The purpose of the second window composite was just to show off the camera tracking. My original plan was actually to just add a poster to the wall, which might have been a better idea.
