| it isn't. the it totally depends on the scene and the level of realism you want to create. You will be surprised at how many films use the magic of the camera to simulate rain and water in many ways. its not that water is difficult, but it comes to one thing that will kill your pc in terms of how long it will take to render an image. Water is extremely reflective and any surface that casts a reflection measn thepc has to calculate the varience of the reflection in the scene. Thats why there are many articles and discussions on how to render reflections and refractions, and why there are many rendering engines offereing their own unique way of doing it. |
