New logo

Here's the new logo, designed by a friend, what do you think of it??
Adjustments can still be made, so critique is welcome, as you can probably see the image on it's own won't match with the rest of the header, but those colours can be adjusted to make it blend with the rest of the space there.

I prefer the one you have already for that simple apsect of it reflecthing some charactersitic of humanity in its style and make up.

well with the new one. I do like it but its not 3d and doesn't share as much 3d volume as the other logo which is also incidently a 'signature' not in handwriting but of the Branding of the site.

as in the world of anaimation, take each as a key frame and find something in between perhaps? :d

that's my ten pence worth on the soap box

thanks for the comments, here's a little update:
I've made some adjustments to the bg colour and added a very slight shadow to it, giving it a more 3d look, but not exagerated, better?

Sorry but I disagree with you geldslaw.. that current logo looks like a 7 year old wrote it. A site must look professional in order to attract amateurs and professionals alike. Right now, theres more 10-14 year olds on this site. You must cater to a crowd and sorry to say, aesthetics play a big part in how someone views a site.

As a 3D artist and flash web designer I'd say that this site lacks alot of appeal.

Jelmer the new logo is looking nice. If you can match the colors more and give it a feel like the current 3d-palace.com has or game-artist.net has, you'll be getting really close to a great and professional looking site. Keep it up man.

P.S. geldslaw, you should be working on your rendering more than what the logo looks like. Hop to it.
