Hello everybody, im AJ aka Motammad (actually it should be Mothammad but i mistyped it when i was registering but oh well...).
So im 19. Im pretty much new to this 3D modelling world and i've been fiddling with 3DS Max for maybe one year tops... Infact the very first tutorial that actually helped me was one of Jelmers... cant remember which one though...

So, i actually have a couple of works to show (take prior notice that im still a noob in modelling because ive never forced myself to study those 3D modelling techniques):

-um, k... this is not 3DS Max actually, its an awesome terrain generator called Terragen... i made this piece by just fiddling with the controls...

-Now this is my first model i ever made!!! i made it after watching Jelmers Zippo Lighter tutorial

http://www.hot.ee/buhmob/tanke16.jpg
-this is my newest piece... In the beginning i wanted to model an Abrams tank but im too much of an "art" guy and i like improvisation so this is what i managed to do...

Keep up the good work Jelmer.
Respect bro

Hi, my name's Alex, I live in South Carolina, USA. I came across this site looking for miscellaneous tutorials. Then I noticed the castle tut and remembered that I had recently downloaded it from a different site, it was very helpful btw^^. When I found out Jelmer was the Webmaster here I had to sign up as a member.

I've been an on an off modeler since about the time g-max came out years ago. I got 3d max 7 about 3 months ago and have been very "hardcore" into modeling since. I have some scrap models but this isn't my comp, wireless card in mine went ca-put, so I can't upload any yet. I'm currently finishing up the fire escape to a hotel I'm modelling. So when i get it closer to completion I'll upload it into WIP.

After browsing I'd have to say this is one of the best modeling sites I've seen. But, I'm rambling so I'll post later.

P.S. Jelmer, are you by chance German? You have a strong accent, almost sounds french to me, and your MSN Messenger pops up in Dutch.

Hi Everybody, im Roel aka CyCloTroN from the Netherlands...i hobby around with CG for over 2 years now...learned most of the 3d stuff from a really good friend ( *spam ) and also used alot of tutorials and books...

im currentlly working at a internet casino...there im working on every concept (in 2d and 3d) a place like that needs like slotmachines, roulette tables, interfaces, banners, promotion material, etc...

Original i got a bachalor in electronics but dont really like it that much so starting this summer im going back to school and try to get my Bachelor of Art and Technology in 3D Computer Animation and Visual Effects...

Hmm, hello all. My name's Josh, uh I'm 16 years old. lol. I don't know what else. Well I've been working with photoshop since...3 years ago? I'm self taught in HTML, PHP, MySQL, all that jazz. I obtained 3DS Max 8 exactly a week ago, and am keen on learning everything about it. I'm a sophomore in highschool, and do this on my spare time. I'm actually going to model a few things for a credit in 3D Art, so I'll post up some WIPs eventually. The site's been a great help so far, and I really like the interaction/community. See ya all around :-)
