I'm 'Wiggy' A.k.a Alex.
I've been using Photoshop for the past year or so, but i have now decided to move onto 3D design.
I started 3D design on 23rd November 2006.

I'm based in Wales which is in the United Kingdom.

I chose this site as when i was searching for some beginner tutorials i came across this and it seemed appealing with its many useful tutorials and the fact its aimed at 3DS Max users .

Look forward to seeing some work from people here and sharing my own.

Well, my name is Mike, obviously. I found this site when looking for 3d max tutorials, and when I found out all of the video tutorials it had, I reaslized how awesome it was. I'm a big fan of Jelmer's work (both tutorials and actual models). I haven't really made anything of my own, but I'm trying to get better at 3ds Max (hence the tutorials). I saw that this site had over 1,000 members, but under 1,000 posts, so I figured, I should contribute to the site's activity and post so, hey there everybody!

Hi to all. I'm fairly new to 3ds Max, and I do not have a completed work worthy of display at the moment. I joined this site looking for a tutorial on unwrapping uvw. What I found here helped me, and I was able to get a material made in Max to wrap around a shape in Vue, the same as it did in Max. Now that I have this info, it's time to uhm, use it.... My first project will be... recreate my bathroom! yeah!

Hi to everyone. My screen name is jzratm and I am fairly new to 3d max. I am an intern architect and am looking for lots of tutorials on creating realistic materials and mapping them to create realistic images. I just joined this site and from looking at all the posts I think I will be able to find what I need here. Thanks for all the tutorials everyone, and hope to post some of my work pretty soon.

welcome jzratm, interesting to have someone here who's into architecture, for materials you should really try the max 9 trial version.
Set up mental ray and then try some of the Arch Design materials, they're easy to setup and there are many presets, they're made mainly for architectural design purposes so they should fit your needs.
