It's been bugging me for days to want to model 'Wall-E'


anyways I went to the official website and for the first time saw a website that made me feel like i wanted to have one just like it.

Hmm nice flash work, even though I don't like flash for websites it's sometimes necessary for such an interactive website, we could setup a contest next week to get some models going :P.

Vilandra from scifi-meshes.com started awhile ago and hes doing an amazing job, attached are a video and a picture of what hes done so far, very good.

oh yes, my mate just sent me an email saying that from the Film Factory emailed him back and said that the competition he had entered to go see a private screening of Wall-E and attend the Q&A with some of the animators has got free seats available, so am going to see it tonight and to get to meet the animators. Totally awsome, for anyone else in London, or else where join the site and enter the competition because they could be doing the same thing in your town or a city near you but for those with the time available.

so creative as well as simple website..and ya, that makes me inspire as well cuz i have been thinking for a long time to create my personal website..think im definitely also gonna create a flash version along with html
jelmer: even i avoid flash websites primarily from SEO point of view but think im gonna make both versions for my website i wonder how they made the website with elastic width in flash.....

Man it was so cool being a private cinema with about 20 people previewing Wall-E a month before it was released and talking to the Lead Director of Animation. He was or is so young, early 20's wow. He said he started to work on Wall-e in 2005, he did a load of drawings, then built a 3d model and then they spent time trying to figure out his personality.

That was really good to see all the test trials, no special colour just basic model, and everything moved slow, they did everything slow so they could get it right then speed it up to give it some bazazz. There are a lot of animators joke in it, and references to other movies, one of which is HAL the computer from 2001 space odyssey and I think that Wall-e is based on E.T.
