Saving for a new computer

With my slow computer the poly count has been limited also the playing so i have been thinking and i have been checking out a computer that looks good but i don´t really know much of just computers so maybe you could help me


* 2048mb RAM (2x1024mb) 667Mhz
* CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 CPU 2.4Ghz
* Graphic Card:Nvidia 8800GT 512mb DDR3 PCI Express VGA/DVI/TV Full Microsoft DirectX 10 Support
* 250gb harddrive SATA
* DVDRW Burner ± 20x Dual Layer Liteon
* Modercard Abit/Biostar
* sound: 6.1
* 630 Watt Network something :S
* Network: 10/100 mbit


A bit small RAM but i had 750 on my other computer and it is easy to upgrade...

It always depends on how much you want to spend...
I would always buy the components and build it up on my own, then i can spend the money i´m saving for better components. No gigabit lan looks a bit old fashioned...

Looks like a decent config if you arent too picky. But then I am not sure what your budget is. If you are fairly well-off you could go for a dual proc machine too. That gfx card isnt going to make a difference to your viewport poly count though, unless you go for a professional card. In any case, I really think quadros arent worth the cost unless you own a small studio to justify the initial cost.

I saved to get the best computer I could afford. Thankfully I could afford a BOXX computer.
Simply the best PC you can get, also the best postpurchase service in the entire internet.
