What OS are you running ?

There is no option for DX10 drivers in 3DSmax 8, I can only choose DX9. I'm running vista x64.

I have a Fire GL X3-256. It's freaking amazing and I haven't even used it to it's full potential. It was worth every penny to me. That's my opinion, and I give it because this card was mentioned specifically in previous posts.

I recommend getting a Q6600 processor, together with one of the new 9800 nvidia series.
If you have enough money, get the 9800Gx2, wich has integrated SLI :P (2 videocards combines in one, so you can actually go quad SLI when you buy 2 of those)
