glad it inspired you, funny enough I've been drawing all week. Pc's can be a bit like cigarettes, hard to give up. But I am happy to say that I probably spend more time drawing and painting than I do modelling.
Why? Because for someone who couldn't draw for toffee, hehehe, to now be able to draw and to realise drawing is not about being the perfect photocopier but about the visual narrative, the story in the picture.
I never thought I would say this but I want to be an artist, and I think I can say that I am, just have to keep practicing now. I've spent all this week drawing and painting cartoon characters, that's my version, they look crap but their mine and look a lot better than what I could've drawn two years ago.
What keeps me going is what I am going to be able to do in 2 years time and I'm practicing so much so that time will fly by and before I know it I will be there. Ultimately I want to get to a point where someone will commission me to do some work for them.
When I get to that point I know I will have arrived at the first step, and their are others who are millions of steps ahead of me but who cares its fun following their footsteps.
so get drawing and enjoy
