EnjoyCG up and down and up

I have been having some trouble lately, trying to get on to enjoyCG
is it the same for everybody else?

yah all the time I can't load enjoycg so I come back an hour or 2 later and sudenly its up. whats up with that?

This is the first time ive been able to get on in a couple of days. Wonder what the problem was...

like the page would be all screwed up
but i hope its back to normal now

Sorry for all the problems.. The site was down yesterday, almost the entire day, but other than that I haven't noticed any problems, I'm not sure how long the site was down exactly, but surely less than 24 hours, I'm not sure what caused it, an error in the server somewhere but it has been fixed.

it's been happening to other sites as well, ina particular with the Facebook, so I don't think its specifically one site but probably a trawler or a submarine having cut one of the communications lines on the seabed by accident, it happens from time to time.

Are you being serious...having trouble detecting sarcasm lol....are there actually cables in the sea? Probably a stupid question...but i really have no idea how the internet works lol..

oh and yeah i had trouble getting on a few days ago but a couple of hours later it worked fine.

hahhaah yes I am being serious they do lay down physical cables in between countries, satellite is too expensive even if they were rumours years ago that Microsoft was going to put into orbit another 80 satellites.

its been a while but if you do drop to s dos window and do a trace command of an ip address you would be surprise at the number of routers and countries your data packet has to go through to get to a particular site. I used to play chess online but I would end up losing a lot og games because my moves had to go through a lot of routers to get to the destination server and most of my opponents were in the remainder of europe so they would have a shorter distance to go than I would.

Most of the data packets from the uk to europe go through holland, which because of its small population size has a considerable higher spare bandwidth than most european countries.

I think if you type ping the dns name or host name you'll number of routers you have to hop to get to where you are going

It hasent been down for me but loading really wearied. well it has done that a few times.
Ohhh and I promise you that if all the satellites go out around the world then there would be no internet. (same with the cable companies. They say how bad satellite tv is but they use them also.)
