Looking to buy a graphics tablet.

Hi there,

Recently I've been really interested in creating matte painting or concept art in photoshop but find the mouse to be a horrible tool so I thought the obvious solution would be to buy a graphic tablet But here's my problem:

I don't know where to start

Now with a forum jam-packed with equisite CG artists I thought this would be a great place to get some advice / reccomendations.

This will be my first graphics tablet so I wont be looking for the top of the range tablet. I have a modest budget but I don't want to buy a simple "MY FIRST TABLET BY EARLY LEARNING CENTRE". The only brand of tablet I've heard of / looked into so far has been Wacom so if anyone reccomends looking at other brands I'd be greatful for link to homepages.

Thanks,

I use a Tesco cheap "trust" tablet and it also works perfectly! cost me the grand total of £20!

id buy a cheap one to begin with ad see how you go but tbh when starting out a cheap one is always good
