New game releases

There's way too many new games being released that I'm looking forward to. :|

First off is one I think anyone here could get into: Spore. Here's a 35min demo:

Um, make a sammich, it's a long ride.

Next is Fable 2... it looks like it'll blow the first one out of the water with a 3-ton depth charge... but only time will tell. :/

Also, Fallout 3... I'd post a vid, but anything in youtube saying it's gameplay footage lies... horribly. -_- Well, here's the teaser trailer, in case you haven't seen it yet:

Looks pretty decent.

Yet another 360 game I'm getting is Soul Caliber 4. The inclusion of Yoda makes me chuckle... seems kinda silly that Star Wars characters are infiltrating the SC universe... course, SC2 had Link, Heichachi (sp?) and Spawn, so... guess it could be worse. :P Mostly excited about the custom soul thing.

Last... and certainly not least, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, or WAR... not quite as long to type out or say in a conversation. :/

There's an alarming amount of nay saying about this one... despite all the buzz. /shrug Age of Conan was kind of a disappointment, so I'm hoping WAR is able to get things polished up before release.

So anyhoo, got all of those pre-ordered and all but two are CE's... Spore and Too Human don't have one... well, yet. :P

Hmm yeah im looking forward to some of these too but currently AppleShrapnel im testing Fable 2 and i can tell you it will be a really good and funny game!
Spore, Soul Calibur and Too Human really look good. Not sure yet about Warhammer online but i doubt i have the time to play another game like that now

Extaz is right Star Wars: Force Unleashed also looks good but i think you guys missed another big one!

Of course its Gears!

Ah, Unleashed and GoW2... figured I'd forget spmething. :P SW looks to be an amazing addition to the franchise's game lineup. GoW looks incredible... but I'll probably wait until it's (hopefully) released on PC. :/ Trying to aim with an analog stick and not my good ol' mouse just hurts my game... bad. ^^'

I feel inclined to inquire about your F2 testing, SJH... but I'd guess you're bound to an NDA of some sort, so I won't pry. If you could only answer one question, I'd ask you about the equipment. I've heard tell that there's a lot more in the way of clothing than Fable 1, but... frankly, that's not really saying much. :/ As far as I can remember, there was male/female villager clothing, some form of light armour, chainmail, plate armour, and a will user's outfit... all had a light and dark variant, so I guess that's something. :P

So can you shed any light on that? Or are your lips sealed?

Haha yeah im under an NDA but all ill say is that im sure you will be happy I never got the chance to play the first Fable but was looking forward to this one before i started work on it.

So many good games coming out and my Xbox just got the dreaded Red ring of death Better get it sent off asap if i want to play Soul Calibur when it comes out!

Well, that's good enough for me. If you can, I'd definately reccomend playing the first one. While not as groundbreaking as Peter was making it out to be the better part of a year before its release, it was still decent... you could also more accurately compare the two. I'm pretty sure the difference is night and day... several months apart. :P

I dont get much time to do anything at the minute mate because of work! I havent really got the time for 3D Art at the minute which is annoying because working in the studio is very inspiring! Hope ill get the chance to do some more soon and post some up here

EDIT- I've been playing the Too Human demo for a bit now, and have decided it's worth a purchase. I've been hearing tell that there's a way to unlock the four other classes. Thus far, two methods have been introduced: The first is to unplug the ethernet cable from the console and change the system clock to 2009. The second is to "mash A" whilst cycling between the classes... I mashed A to no avail. Can anyone check if the other way works? (I would, but I'm at work :P)

Im a bit of a sceptic when it comes to Too Human. About 2 years ago I had the privilege of playing an alpha version of the game (not even that) and it was absolute rubbish. Offcourse thats why they delayed it considerably and I guess its looking alot more promising now, still that first impression really ruined the hype for me unfortunately.

GoW2 looks pretty good, I cant help but think of it being just a Gears of War 1.5 though , Doesnt look a whole lot different.

Force Unleashed and Fable 2 have definetely got me extremely pumped :P, they are both looking to be coming along very well, Fable 2 is most definetely a contender for game of the year.
