| Mapping Isn't there any quick (easy would be nice too) to create a set of map from a texture? If I have ;example; a picture of an aircon grid; and that i want to take out of it a bump map; an opacity map and a normal map saving all in DDS or TGA to map a plane in my model... Any hint? I am currently fighting with filters and channels for really moderate to bad results ![]() |

| Re: Mapping you can do it quickly, but that won't give you nice results most of the time. So you have to spend some time on it, opacity maps aren't that hard most of the time, play with contrast and levels for instance. Bump maps can be trickier, A tool that works really well for me is crazybump it's made for normal maps, but those work just as well as bump and can be previewed in your viewport too. A few well known game producers actually use that tool, so it must be good . |
