Do you have a portfolio site?

Portfolio sites are important if you want to get a paid job in CG, so do you have a site, or are you working on one?

I would start my portfolio of my own ASAP, I just only need to understand which website has a good service without any distortion, problems and etc.

Biojoe: If you're really serious about it I would get a real domain, it's not that expensive, you can get a .com one for less than $10 per year, then you would also need hosting, but since it's just a small portfolio site you can get that pretty cheap as well, before you do this though, make sure you have a site that's worth showing online.

rakeshdel: uhm this isn't really the right thread to talk about that, you should have created a new thread in the general discussion forum instead, but anyway, you can show off work in the finished work forum, and work in progress here. don't forget attachments!

For hosting a portfolio site you could probably get away with some free hosting that has 5 gig bandwidth. Unless your site is really popular, then you wound need to get some paid hosting...

i think i paid £20 for my domain address and i'm paying £5 a month for the hosting. def worth doing if your on the job hunt but make sure your site deserves this financial layout first!

also i'm discovering that for animation jobs, a website doesn't quite cut it. if you can put a showreel together not only will you save yourself some money, but you would be presenting your work without the need for the viewer to navigate around it! they just have to press play!
