Hey, looks pretty good so far. One critique tho is the font, its not very legible.

I like the general style you're going for, but would never use images for text! for a logo it's ok but generally you should avoid using images for text because it's not really accessible for a lot of people.

You might want to have a look at the portfolio tutorial on EnjoyCG for a better html and css code.. Why are so many people still using tables around here ...

yeh i need to change the text tbh ill use a different font...

I used images for text Jelmer because it reduces the problems of the end user not having the font i like and it just showing up as times new roman or summat. And tbh its such a small and focused web page im sure I can get away with it, although i do know its a bad idea lol

Im also using tables because this is my FIRST web page ever lol its all a learning process lol u have no idea how long i sat there with a cup of STRONG coffee swearing at my screen trying to get the contact page to work lol it forwards all messages to my email

ill post progress up when i have it ^_^

Very nice start mate i like the simple layout you have gone for. Only thing i would have said was the font but i think you know that already I guess the 'Click for larger picture' buttons arent finished yet but on the last picture on the portfolio section the picture it brings up is pretty small. I guess you already know that but thought i would bring it up just incase

Really need to work on a portfolio site myself, ill start to design it soon and try get to work on it in the next few weeks. Waiting to hear back from an interview i went to a few days ago so im nervous and cant do any work haha

Good job mate cant wait to see it finished

Yeah I understand it, it can be hard when you get started with html and css, fonts are easy to setup though, for example add this bit of css:

body //everything within the body tag will be affected
{
font: 80% arial, sans-serif; //font size and fonts used, from left to right, the first one that's available will be used.
color: #00; //font colour
}
