Splash Page

I recently started on my portfolio again. I only have up the splash page so far but was wanting comments. Is is very minimalistic but it ties in to the rest of the site i am working on. Like i said not much to look at but let me now what you think.

Welcome!

I like it so far but it seems like it's missing something. Is it going to automatically redirect to home page or are you going to add links to it (that may be what is missing)

My name is going to be the link into the portfolio the other two below that already link to my blogs. Do you think it is a bad idea to put my name as the link?

Maybe you could have your name there and if someone clicks anywhere it would go to the home page. (besides the two links of course)

I can see what can be subtracted. Adobe Illustrator is added to "software experience" twice.

It looks nice and clean, could use some more content though. Adding a dash of color to the color scheme would make it look a lot less bland. Other than that it looks great.
