Question How to save .gif files in 3d max

Hi all friends....m new to this excellent site as well for 3d max. i make some animation 4 my signature & i try to save them in .gif format but i don't found .gif format 4 saving files in 3d max... help me plez....Thanks.

I'm not sure if 3ds max can save animations into .gif, but i'm sure there are other programs which can turn image sequences or videos into .gif, so maybe try that. What do you want to achieve with an animated gif anyway, they're not very efficient and quality is quite low, personally I would try something else, maybe a normal video filetype like .avi, .mov or flash.

Thanks 4 ur reply bro....ya i know how to save animation in avi, .mov format in 3d max but i want to save my 3d max animations in that format which m able to use on other sites as my signature & most of d sites prefers only jpeg,gif,png & bmp files. i saw some beautiful 3d animations which created in 3d max but i don't know the trick....if u got d trick then plez share.

U know any nice software 4 creating .gif files in good quality? Thanks 1s again.

If you know how to render animations from 3ds max into image sequences such as .TGA.

Then download adobe imageready free trial (30 days). Import every single one of the images from the sequence you made in 3ds max, then put them all in the layers, then into the animation bar.

then file>Save optimized as>.gif

Thanks 4 ur reply Wiggy bro...i hava image ready & i also have some knowledge about image ready means how 2 save .gif in IR but can u explain how to save all frames seperately in max as well how to export that all frames in IR. plez don't tell me that export each n every frame seperately in IR coz thats not easy as sometimes max animation have 100 frames. Thanks 1s Again.

then in the commom tab, under render output just choose to svae to a file and choose a file type and max will render each frame to that file type and put a sequence number in the name.
